Operation Buckeye's Mission Statement

Operation Buckeye's mission is to bring a touch of home to the troops and lift their spirits. The "we care" boxes contain food items, toiletries, entertainment and hygiene items; and notes of appreciation all wrapped with good wihses of support. There are 48 to 53 items per box and special boxes are packed for our female troops.

Operation Buckeye is an all volunteer group with a 501(C)3 charitable status and has been sending boxes for over ten years. To date, over 30,000 boxes have been sent.

Ninety-eight percent of all moneis raised goes toward postage and purchasing items for the boxes. The headquarters space is at 4284 North High Street in Clintonville. The space and utilities are donated and there is no paid staff.

There is a regular open pack day on the second and fourth Saturday of each month. Special pack dates may be arranged for groups of 12 - 15 people.

More information will be following regarding how the Caring For America Committee is planning to raise money for this project. Please check back frequently - and while you are thinking about it, please elect or appoint a Caring for America Chair in your club.
