We would like to invite
your
club to participate
in the 2013 OFRW biennial Tribute to Women, which will be held Sunday,
June 23, at Worthington Hills Country Club, 920 Clubview Boulevard
South, Columbus, OH 43235.
Tribute to
Women was established in 1980 to honor local club members who have
given their time and talent to promote Republican candidates and
values. In addition to supporting the election of excellent candidates,
criteria for being honored can include things such as serving in
government offices, volunteering in civic and church organizations,
accomplishing meaningful results in professional life, and rearing
happy, healthy families.
We are asking each
club in the state to select one member to be honored at this year’s
event. Please be sure the woman chosen knows that she is to be honored
so she can plan to attend and invite family and friends. Please, DO NOT
"surprise" the honoree!
Try to select
someone who has not received the honor before.
Then, please print and complete the form for honorees. This will be
available shortly here on the website and may be downloaded by clicking
on the "Tribute to Women" tab above. Please make sure
to provide biographical information about the
nominee that can be developed into a profile to be printed in the
program.
After the nominee is selected,please
complete the application
form (see above) and mail it, along with a check for $35.00
payable to OFRW, to me at: Marilyn Clark, 77 East North Broadway

Honorees deserve the full support of their clubs! Please encourage your
members, their families, and friends to attend the 2013 Tribute to
Women.
The room will open at 11:30 a.m., and
lunch will be served about
12 p.m. Worthington Hills Country Club is a beautiful venue with
picturesque views of the grounds. It
also features excellent food and service.
The facility is fully handicapped accessible, with an elevator and
suitable bathrooms.
The cost for the event will be
$35.00 per person.
Reservations for other than the nominee are due to me by Monday, June 10th.
Finally, the Tribute to Women committee
will secure citations from
Governor Kasich, House Speaker Boehner, and Senator Portman. Each club
is requested to please ask
your local State Senators and Representatives, and your U.S.
representatives to create a citation or congratulatory letter for your
honoree. Then, will you please mail those to me at the above address,
or bring them to the event to be put in the
awards packets.
Plans for the program are currently in
progress and will be announced soon. In addition to honoring
worthy women, Tribute to Women
is also a significant fund raiser for OFRW. If you have
